“ I ate here twice on my most recent trip to Myrtle Beach. It was in the off-season, and right when they opened, so it wasn't very busy at all. It's definitely an older building, but very clean on the inside and the staff is super friendly. Plentiful items on the buffet, the usual breakfast buffet fair. The bacon is extra crispy (how I like), and the French toast is quite tasty. They also have bountiful biscuits and gravy and corn beef hash if that's your thing. The eggs do taste fresh and not some weird bio engineered product. Only two items keep me from giving it five stars First, the price, with coffee it's a touch over $20 a person. I don't think that's crazy, but for breakfast it's pretty steep. It's very tough to eat anywhere near that amount of food to justify the cost imho. Maybe drop the coffee price from $4 to $2? Second, food temperature. I visited two days in a row, both when they first opened, both when the buffet was super fresh. At best everything was room temperature. I'm not super hard to please, and thankfully it was tasty enough, but I could see, as other reviewers have mentioned , the food temp being a little bit offputting. All in all, I would certainly recommend and return. If they could get the food temp correct, then the pricing piece may be a little bit more in order. Nobody likes paying for an expensive meal and it being room temperature. ”

“ I've been coming to Myrtle Beach since I was kid in the 70's and 80's and my family never ate breakfast at Mammy's ! When I got older and moved away from the east coast I still came home to the Carolinas every 2 to 3 years and still I had heard about this place and how you would sometimes have to wait in line outside for it. Well , that is something I don't care to do. But anyway , I finally came here on September 21st and it was well worth it and I didn't have to wait in line. When I was leaving though there were a few people waiting outside to get in , so I guess I had good timing. I was seated right away and ordered coffee. The buffet line was filled with a pretty good selection. The first thing you see is fresh fruit and let me tell you , you have to get the Strawberries. They were so good and fresh. I live in Las Vegas and we get those California Strawberries and they don't have half the flavor these did , must be all the GMO. I also got a slice of Cantaloupe , a slice of Pear , and a slice of Peach. Now to the main items. I got Grits , Biscuit and Gravy , Sausage Patty and Sausage Link , Scrambled Eggs with Peppers , Corn Beef Hash , and the Strawberries the first plate. The Grits were thick and good like I like them. The Scrambled Eggs were good. I liked the Sausage Patty better than the Sausage Link. The Corn Beef Hash I didn't care for. Biscuit and Gravy was good , but mine are better of course. The Strawberries as I said were great and I got more on my second plate. On my 2nd plate I tried a Pancake with Strawberry Syrup with pieces of Strawberry in it and more Grits and some fruit. The Pancakes were pretty good and fluffy. The price is really reasonable and that is why it's probably been in business so long. From my understanding they been in business since 1953 and I'm sure they will be here many years to come. ”

“ Like most breakfast places at the beach, this is a popular one. The service was good, and the buffet is worth it for value and selection. The line waiting to get in was wrapped around two sides of the restaurant, but it kept moving, waited about 20 minutes. Make sure your entire part is in the line, otherwise they will not seat you. Also the bathrooms were updated, and clean. ”

“ The food is just what you'll need after some fun filled days at the beach. Try the breakfast buffet! That was our choice today, and it didn't disappoint. I can't believe they have bacon on the bar! It's fantastic. The waitress was attentive and very efficient. She was busy but still made time to do quick check-ins on us. There are a lot of people here, but everyone looks like they're enjoying their meals. It is a beat place to have breakfast for sure. They keep the tables clean and move a lot of people thru. I would definitely come back. Also, there are plenty of fruit choices at the breakfast bar. Coffee was brewed well, too. ”

It's not a fancy restaurant, but you can expect good traditional breakfast food. The bacon and biscuits with gravy were some of the best I've had in ages, and the seasonal fruit was fresh and delicious. The service was fantastic, too. You can choose between buffet style or à la carte, with the buffet priced at just $13.99 per person. I can't wait to go back! One thing to note is that there's always a line outside the door that circles the building, but you won't have to wait long to be seated. The host is very conscientious about getting patrons seated quickly. ”

“ This place has been here serving the area since 1953. Definitely looks like an ole style diner outside but they have kept up the inside. Food is simple, yet good. We order our eggs over-medium well. This is not easy for most places but they got it perfect! There was also a buffet available but we opted for ordering simple. Otherwise we would have eaten too much. Hahaha. Coffee was great our server was thorough and kept our glass, mugs full. We wanted to go again but the next day line was around the corner. We will definitely be back. Purchased a couple t-shirts as gifts. ”

“ Our first stop when we got to Myrtle Beach. Mammys have been a staple for Myrtle Beach for a long time. Me and the kids had the breakfast buffet. It was a pretty decent size buffet. It was in two parts. Half of it was fresh fruits and the other half was hot foot. You can have all the bacon, sausage, eggs, corn beef has, grits, biscuit?gravy, and pancakes that you want! It was all pretty good not life changing. I would recommend stopping by and checking them out! ”

“ We went to Mammy's twice in the five days we stayed there. The buffet had amazing prepped food, as well as fresh food options for my spouse and kids. I loved the pecan pancakes with smoked sausage! Never had anything like either. So amazing! One of my kids got their blueberry pancakes- filled with real, fresh blueberries! So delicious! The servers were wonderful, attentive, and oh so kind! ”
